Background of the Study
FM radio has emerged as one of the most widely accessible and influential media platforms in Nigeria, especially in rural and semi-urban areas like Damaturu LGA in Yobe State. Given its reach, affordability, and ability to engage large audiences in real-time, FM radio has become an essential tool for broadcasting youth empowerment programs. These programs are aimed at providing young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities necessary for personal and community development. In Damaturu, such programs are critical in addressing youth unemployment, improving education, and fostering civic engagement. The role of FM radio in broadcasting these programs and influencing the empowerment of youth has become a crucial area of study. 1.2 Statement of the Problem
